What if India had not split into India & Pakisthan during the independce

What if India had not split into India & Pakistan during the independence from British.



This was the question I had after I saw Gandhi today in the TV today on his birthday. Will we be having this kind of bomb blasts and all the other things that are being talked about with lot of communal favour. I don't know,
Some of the best things would have been
  1. In Cricket we would have been the most formidable side in the world.
  2. Our defence budget would not be so huge and we wouldn't have lost a lot of military resources in our border wars.
  3. There will not be a Kashmir unrest
  4. Due to the above fact, we would have a great tourism going on
  5. We will have a great cooperation with the Middle East

The negatives would have been

  1. A lot more politics in terms of player selection
  2. A different war plan with our neighbours
  3. More communal clashes too in terms of proving who is superior

You are right Sarada akka, for one thing would have been sure- We would have been super power long before. India's tolerance and Pakistan's vibrance would have made a larger difference as one Nation long time back. But things are now different. Either people dont understand or cannot accept and practise Gandhian ideology any more. Its the sad truth. Those who follow are not allowed to as well.. thats our democratic society of today. Kashmir, hindu-muslim unity, agricultural prosperity, nuclear power would have been our strength had India not seen this split. Its like a broken family now. With less chances of uniting anymore. We can set our home right by atleast making efforts for amicable relationship, at the same time, we need to remember that the other country also need to have the same objective.. Otherwise, we are just letting an enemy in. A conscious efforts on both sides with prime objective of peace will only stop this blood shed. Till then, both the countries will keep bleeding!!!

Thanks to Aravind who wanted me to write about the Temple at thiruvotriyur in chennai. that was one of those days when you get up early in morning and the whole world looks very frustrating and you dont know what to do. it became a God send message to me. So started my preparation to go the temple. I reside in the south chennai and the the Temple is at Thiruvotriyur in North Chennai. and the travel time will be more than 1.30 hours.
