Padma Awards - finding the Richly deserving persons -Shri S Ramakrishnan, Founder Amarseva Foundation
One of my very fist blog posts was on the Awardees of Padma Awards in the yesteryyears. I used to lament that the awards are mostly going to the persons from Art and Culture background. Not that it was wrong to give to them, but giving only to them was the issue. But now adays I find that this Government is taking steps to recognize the Really Deserving and Little known Unsung Heroes and giving them the Nation's Highest Awards. I really salute the Government fot this. Just saw the news item about the 21 Awardees - the one from Tamil Nadu is Shri S Ramakrishnan, Founder of Amarseva Foundation. Sir our salutions and pramans and I am happy that the service that you have been doing to those that need them most is being duly recognized. Congralutions Sir Shri S.
