The Birthplace of Maharana Pratap and an UNESCO site. Called the The India's Great Wall of China this fort and its  protective wall going around 36 kms with the width that can accommodate 5 horses its a engineering marvel of our forefathers.  Also the guide was saying that the Fort was constructed in such a way that it is camouflaged and can be seen only when you are within 400 meters only.  While the larger vehicles are stopped at the bottom, the jeeps takes you up the steep incline and pass through  various gates called pols -  You need to pass the 3rd Pol called Hanuman Pol before you reach the Ram Pol which is the starting point of the Actual Fort.    once you enter the Ram pol, on both sides you h...

Rajasthan Tour Dairies. We landed in this city Called Blue City which name came because of the houses near the fort  painted * Blue*   both due to religious reasons as well as Blue cools the house during the high Sun.  Actually the guide was telling us that between 12 noon to 2 00pmthe sun us hottest in thus city compared to any other city in Rajasthan and that's also gets the city another name called Sun city. Close to the city is a place called Mandor and the guide was saying it  got its name because if Ravana wife Mandodari.  Originally the Rathore king build the fort here but the height wasn't enough to get the protection it needed a d few wars were lost and the king then chose Mehrangarh where he saw a She goat having g successfully fought a leopard to protect her calves.  So he felt the spirit of the place was good to make His home in that fort.   Places of interest Mehrangarh   https://saradaramani.blogspot.com/2023/09/mehrangarh...
