Ads that I liked

Recently there are 2 ads that I liked very much - one was touching the core of my emotions, the other one was fun to watch

I am talking about the Ad from Airtel - which states that "when you talk, the differences vanish". The scene unfolds with a small child having his breakfast in the first floor when he sees a basket ball rising upto the windows and falling down. Like all curious children, he goes outside into the backyard and checks and finds a basketball in his courtyard. He also hears a frantic yell from the other side of the fence - Another boy in a different language shouting some gibberish and at the same time showing a sign of kicking the ball back. (yes, it is a another country separated by two fences and in between the no man's land) This boy does kick the ball back and gets a smile filled action asking him to come over. Both the boys cross over their respective countrys' fences and start their playing together. For children where is the border, it is only us as grown ups think and act differently. What a poignant statement. WOW for the creative person for this ad and the nice way it has been filmed . What a statement - Human Beings are All one despite all caste, creed, country, religion.

The second ad is from State Bank of India - There is a group of old people playing cricket on the street and the ball falls inside the house. A boy picking the ball and leaning out of the window and looks at the elders down there. All the elders ask him to excuse them of hitting the ball into the house, etc, etc and plead with the boy to throw the ball back for them to continue to play. At the same time, another window opens and there appears a old man and says Dont beg, here is another ball, continue your play. Getting this ball back, the elders out on the street, show faces to the boy and sing chorously "what can you do now" and continue to play their game with so much joy and abandon. Such a lovely ad - This ad is for a retirement solutions. What a nice portrayal. Hats off to the ad team for their creativity
