Indian hockey vs Indian cricket

Yes it is very shameful that India has even failed to qualify for the Olympic games in hockey - incidentally the one sport in which India was able to get the Gold medal. Enough is being talked about this - in all kinds of media. But one thing is why do you want to compare hockey and cricket and say the cricketers are earning handsomely and so they need to share with other sports people. This state of high earning is only in the recent times, look at the good old times about 10 -15 years back. Then the cricketers were not making any money.
My point is that dont say that cricket is much talked about and others sports are languishing because of lack of attention.
Ladies and Gentlemen, how of many of us honestly read through the sports page which contains all items - but first focus on only cricket. How many of us know the different competitive games that is being played in other sports. We know the Ranji trophy, tri series, etc. do we know the names of the others trophies which are being given for other games. so we also need to share the blame and not just the officials and the players alone for the sorry state of affairs.
Lets collectively raise the voice for changing the system in all other sports too. Lets not talk about the selectors of cricket - lets talk about selectors of other sports too - what happens in the such selections. Lets decide to start going/watching other sporting events too. Lets start the change withing ourselves. We have the power to change things.
Lets join hands to promote all kinds of sports - lets start sponsoring other sporting events too. Shall we do it. Join me and lets deliberate on good action points.

Thanks to Aravind who wanted me to write about the Temple at thiruvotriyur in chennai. that was one of those days when you get up early in morning and the whole world looks very frustrating and you dont know what to do. it became a God send message to me. So started my preparation to go the temple. I reside in the south chennai and the the Temple is at Thiruvotriyur in North Chennai. and the travel time will be more than 1.30 hours.
