Unites States of America

Yes, this is going to be USA through my eyes - Currently I am on travel within this great country. Undoubtedly a land of opportunities for anyone and everyone.

But of course, there are also people who suffer very much in this land too. so this series is going to be talking about mixed kind of reactions.

Today, this post is all about the innovative spirit of this country. What a kind of things these people have invented(may be the invention happened in other places), but adopting these inventions is pretty fast here.

In an airport, you need to see the kind of mechanization these people have done for making the job easy. Just see a plane loading and unloading its cargo. From the small covered tented baggage vans they drive in with, to the raised mechanized platform, even a simple knee cap which helps them to swing the heavy luggage using their knee as a inflection point, it is a pretty amazing sight.

I was in Atlanta on 2 weeks back waiting in the hotel lobby for my airport shuttle. There were these group of people working for a catering company which was winding up the job they had done for the meeting in the hotel. They had a huge van brought to the front of the hotel. In the meantime, there were these stacks which had rollers on them in which they had stacked all the cutlery, remainging food, etc. The inside of the van was about 3 feet above ground and guess what, there was a floor which could be mechanically operated to come down to the floor level, onto which these stacks were loaded and then they were loaded into the van. How simple a job they have made it to be rather than having so many people physically strainign themselves to load, unload, etc.

I can go on like this for they have done like this for anything and everything - even for the everyday use -

This really makes the job easier for many a people.
What a spirited country this is

Wow, Glad to see you blogging again and this time on the most cherished topic... America! Right now, i am back in Michigan and doing good and nice to know that you are here too. Probably, what we need to take back home is not just the business takeaways but also the goodness/ infrastructure betterness/ attitude/ balanced life..and the environment, homeland security, awareness, medical and pshycological expertise and lot and lot more. You are right, when my car broke in US last year, all I did was to call Avis, and one man with a huge truck and a replacement car arrived, pulled back the bad one all by the machinery and was all done in half hour's time, where as back home, I had to call in atleast 6 people to help pull out my car from the hit against a pit and the new gate at home... I think thats where it is all about being developed!!! Lot more to learn and keep writing. It helps!
