ICT reach in Rural Areas in India

I had been one of the Special Address deliverers in the recently concluded Workshop on Women run IT Entreprises in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

I was amassed to see the outreach of the Information technology industry into the Rural areas. the most heartening thing is that there are several social foundation of the IT companies which are reaching out to these areas. Also this is spawing a new set of Entrepreneurs both at the Metropolis and the rural areas where there is this collobaration in a joint delivery fashion. I had the pleasure of meeting up with Saloni Malhotra, who as the Team lead of TeNet Group, IIT chennai is now doing a great job in promoting the rural BPO entrepreneurs. While Prem Anand from IL&FS, Manager - Government Initatives had the matching passion to reach out to these entrepreneurs.

Wow kudos to these youngsters.
